Yuni’s becoming a YouTube presence March 28, 2008

Awhile back, there was only one video of Yuniesky Betancourt on YouTube. Now, there are at least five.

The main culprit has been The Seattle Times’ Geoff Baker, who’s posted some spring training videos. One on bunting starts showing Yuni at about the 0:50 mark, pleading with manager John McLaren during the team’s bunting contest, (which he didn’t win). Baker also posted a video of Yuni fielding grounders at third alongside Adrian Beltre. Mostly Beltre just yells at Yuni during the first 50 seconds. Honestly, both videos are about as exciting as the one Ryan Divish posted of Yuni fielding grounds.
And, if you want a video that combines still photos from the Mariners’ 2007 season with some questionable rock music, well, YouTube’s got it.
