The Seattle Mariners are looking for a new Mascot Performer. What are the requirements? Besides having an outgoing personality and being reliable, the next Mariner Moose “must be between 5′ 7″ and 5′ 11″, weigh between 140lbs and 190 lbs and shoe size must not exceed a men’s size 11.
I’m not sure what shoe size Yuniesky Betancourt wears, but according to the Mariners’ roster, he’s 5′10″ and weighs 195 pounds. So if he could just lose a few pounds, the job could be his.
And, if Yuni needed a backup Moose, for when he has to, y’know, play shortstop, Willie Bloomquist is 5′11″ and 195 lbs., so he could also have the job. It wouldn’t be a bad gig when he retires to Kitsap County.
For some reason, not running into Coco Crisp isn’t listed as a job requirement.
